We are seeking an enthusiastic Registered Adult Physical Health Nurse with a keen interest in working in mental health.
Waveney Ward is a 17 bed female Acute ward, based at Hellesdon Hospital
This is a newly created post with Waveney Ward and is a unique opportunity to work as part of a wide multidisciplinary team.
You will work closely with the Acute Services Physical Health Lead and advance practitioners to enhance physical health monitoring and health promotion. The role will also include improving physical healthcare for people living with severe mental illness (SMI) in line with DOH guidance.
There is also an expectation that you will work to develop knowledge, skills and ability in all areas of mental health care including care/discharge planning, risk assessment, crisis/safety planning, admission prevention and mental health promotion.
Ideally, you will have experience of working within adult health and mental health services. You will be an excellent communicator, self-motivated and committed to delivering a high standard of care.
Comprehensive training and supervision is offered.
Please note that there is often a requirement to work with people in their own homes so the ability to drive is a must.

This update service is an annual subscription at a cost of £13 to you. This will enable the Trust to have instant online access to your DBS record, with your consent, and so will remove the need for you to have to apply for this repeat check again.
