Consultant Liaison Psychiatrists (two full-time 10-PA posts) – Mental Health Liaison Service – Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, Norwich

The Trust is keen to appoint two further Consultant Liaison Psychiatrists to our rapidly expanding Mental Health Liaison Service based in the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital (NNUH).

The Mental Health Liaison Service covers the full range of mental health presentations for inpatients and Emergency Department patients in this large general hospital with over 1000 beds. It has recently expanded significantly with the aim of becoming a centre of excellence in clinical service, teaching and research domains.

The Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust also provides child and adult mental health services, learning disability, forensic, wellbeing and eating disorder services.

We are a multi-disciplinary team made up of psychiatrists, nurses, psychologists, assistant practitioners and admin workers. We provide training to students from different professional groups.

Applicants for the post should have, or be eligible for, a CCT and General Medical Council Specialist Registration within six months of the interview date. Full GMC registration, approval under Section 12 of the Mental Health Act, eligibility / approval for Approved Clinician status and appropriate psychiatry experience required.

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
