We at the Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust, care about our staff and want them to have a positive time at work. There will be opportunities to shadow other teams including the dementia and intensive support team (DIST) and community teams to help to gain a wider service experience. Our acute wards will offer development and experience of practical nursing skills as well as enabling a holistic person centred approach to your care. Our service will also soon be able to offer access to leadership fundamentals courses.In addition to the development opportunities we have a Research Development Programme team in dementia and later life based at the Julian Hospital. The aim of this team is to provide access to cutting-edge evidence-based research and education to inform excellence in clinical work. All staff working in NSFTs dementia and later life services will be able to access learning and development opportunities facilitated through the new Dementia & Later Life Academy due for launch in Autumn 2017.We offer opportunities across our service in a range of posts either full time or part time basis – including registered mental health nurses, learning disability, occupational therapists and general practice nurses.It is essential that you are interested in and excited at the opportunity to work with older people. The Trust has now introduced a DBS Update Service which is a contractual requirement. You need to subscribe when you have applied for your DBS clearance and there is a time limit to subscribe of 19 days after receipt of your DBS disclosure. Please ensure that this is completed within the set time scale.
This update service is an annual subscription at a cost of £13 to you. This will enable the Trust to have instant online access to your DBS record, with your consent, and so will remove the need for you to have to apply for this repeat check again.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
