Children, Families & Young People’s (CFYP) 0-25 Service

Norfolk & Suffolk Foundation Trust

We are pleased to invite prospective applicants to apply for a position to work in our CAMHS Norwich team working within our award winning Children, Families and Young People’s (CFYP) Services.

Our CFYP services continue to thrive and innovate. We led the way nationally by developing the first 0-25 specialist service in the UK. The Norfolk and Waveney CFYP service is unique and aspires to address the issues for children and young people's mental health and wellbeing from 0-25. Over the past 24 months we’ve benefitted from significant investment, expansion and growth in existing and new services such as:

  • Early Intervention in Psychosis
  • Eating Disorders
  • Tier 4 Inpatient Unit Dragonfly
  • Under 18 Crisis Pathway Development
  • Perinatal Community Mental Health Service
  • Mother & Baby Unit

You will join a service with highly skilled colleagues and a compelling vision of services for children, families and young people. You will need to be committed and able to collaborate and share skills and expertise with an established multi-disciplinary team, all who have a passion for high quality care to meet the needs of the children, families and young people across Norfolk & Waveney.

The 0-25 service is unique and aspires to address the needs of children and young people and remove the barriers and transitions in services. We work with our local partners to respond to the pressures in the system and with a supportive and compassionate senior leadership team they will encourage you to develop innovative ideas for quality improvement making our services safer and focussed on the needs of children and young people.

During a recent visit by RCPsych President, Professor Wendy Burn, earlier this year where she heard about our Youth Service which sees people between the ages of 14 and 25 Wendy said that we ‘Basically they tore up the rule book and asked young people what they wanted. The result is a very interesting service which is truly patient centred.’

If you are interested please contact us and we are happy to arrange a discussion or visit to meet with you and share with you what we have to offer.

Interviews will be held on Friday 12th April 2019 at Hellesdon Hospital (subject to change)
