An opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Support Team Administrator to join our friendly team of administrators in providing support to the Secure Services Mental Health Team, based at Hellesdon Hospital.

Candidates should have good communication, interpersonal and secretarial skills and a full commitment to the wellbeing of patients. The post requires a confident individual who can support a busy team of clinicians in responding to changing priorities while delivering accurate work within tight deadlines. You will have the ability to deal with confidential and sensitive issues in a professional manner.

As well as having a good standard of education, you should have at least one year of recent secretarial experience, including the minuting of meetings. Good typing and word processing skills, with a knowledge of the Microsoft suite of applications, are essential to this role. You will have attained RSA II typing qualifications or similar. You must possess excellent time management skills, a positive approach and be able to remain calm under pressure. The ability to work on your own initiative and manage your own workload is required, as is the capacity to be flexible and work as part of a team. A working knowledge of medical terminology would be preferable, although is not essential.


Interview date will be W/C 26th March, this will be confirmed nearer the time.

Applicant requirements

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
