Come and join a welcoming, friendly, supportive and skilled team on Waveney Ward at Hellesdon Hospital, Norwich for a 9 month fixed term period.
Waveney Ward is a 17 bed acute admission and treatment ward for patients experiencing mental illness who are unable to be managed safely in the community.
There is a comprehensive variety of mandatory training both classroom and in-house. We also provide a wide range of bespoke additional training in house and externally.
We are proud that we pilot and encourage development of new and exciting initiatives within NSFT. We are currently part of the pilot group for restrictive practices and review this effectively within our team and with other organisations.
As a team we have the opportunity to work independently but we come together by sharing our knowledge learnt and respecting each other by communicating effectively. We encourage staff to develop within lead and link roles within a particular area of interest. We encourage an open forum for our staff to problem solve and make changes to enhance the patient experience.

The Trust has now introduced a DBS Update Service which is a contractual requirement. Please ensure that this is completed within the set time scale.
This update service is an annual subscription at a cost of £13 to you. This will enable the Trust to have instant online access to your DBS record, with your consent, and so will remove the need for you to have to apply for this repeat check again.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
