Are you naturally inquisitive about people and organisations, how they behave, interact and adapt to changing situations? Do you have experience of proactively helping and enabling people and organisations to change, develop and grow?
If you’ve said yes to the above and are someone who embodies our values, and actively seeks to encourage it in others, then this may be the next job for you.
The OD Lead role is very varied and busy and no two days are the same. One day you might be leading on trust-wide projects associated with talent management, leadership development or mentoring and coaching. Another day will see you working directly with teams identifying, developing and delivering OD interventions to support their effectiveness and performance.
You will be challenged along the way. You will need to draw on your previous experiences, your knowledge of OD and most of all your natural inquisitiveness to see past the surface, delve deeper and then use the models and techniques you have learnt to help and enable people at all levels to learn and grow.
It’s important to be comfortable presenting to and also facilitating groups, whether they are in the 10’s or 100’s. Your expertise in this area will see you in good stead as you will be doing everything from designing and delivering leadership training programmes, induction, team away days as well as presenting and facilitating at large conferences and leadership forums.
Your work will take you across our two counties meeting and working with people at all levels. You will be the sort of person that isn’t fazed by this. You will be able to work with teams as well as working independently when needed.
There is so much variety in this job that it’s impossible to cover all of it in one job advert! Please do read through the attached job description and let us know if you have any questions.
It’s an exciting opportunity, so are you up for the challenge?
EQUAL OPPORTUNITIESApart from its legal duties in relation to equality and diversity, the Trust recognises and actively promotes the benefits of a diverse workforce and is committed to treating all employees with dignity and respect regardless of race, gender, disability, age, sexual orientation, religion or belief. Additionally, people with disabilities that fall under the Two Ticks - Guaranteed Interview Scheme will be offered an interview providing they meet the minimum criteria for the post (outlined in the Person Specification). DISCLOSURE AND BARRING SERVICE CHECK (formerly CRB) FOR POSTS WITH DIRECT SERVICE USER CONTACT - Please be advised that due to recent changes in the DBS Service, organisations no longer receive copies of DBS Disclosures – these are sent directly to candidates only. Therefore, it will be your responsibility, if successful, to ensure that this is taken to the appointing officer as soon as you receive it. Alternatively, if you have subscribed to the update service, we will be able to check your status once we have your authority to do so.
The Trust has now introduced a DBS Update Service which is a contractual requirement. You need to subscribe when you have applied for your DBS clearance and there is a time limit to subscribe of 19 days after receipt of your DBS disclosure. Please ensure that this is completed within the set time scale.
This update service is an annual subscription at a cost of £13 to you. This will enable the Trust to have instant online access to your DBS record, with your consent, and so will remove the need for you to have to apply for this repeat check again.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
