We are an age inclusive recovery focused Eating Disorder Team with the principal objective of providing Eating Disorder specific Mental Health Assessments and Therapeutic Interventions?
The West Suffolk Eating Disorder Team has developed in line with N.I.C.E. Guidance and the Royal College of Psychiatry MARSIPAN Working Group Guidance. We offer a range of therapeutic interventions from a systemic perspective - if you have experience of working in this way or would like to develop your practice in this area this might be the role for you.
We work in a specialist team holding case responsibility, as well as working in a shared care approach with other teams and partner agencies as appropriate. Part of the role will be to develop an early intervention approach within the Thetford area, but you will be working in all areas of West Suffolk covered by the team. Our main office is based in Newmarket, Suffolk.
We are a multi-disciplinary team consisting of nursing, psychology, family therapy, CAT therapy, dietetics, physiotherapy and assistant practitioners who work closely to promote positive mental health, well-being and recovery through the delivery of excellent services.
We actively seek to develop our skills and knowledge through supervision, support mechanisms and training.
We have two vacancies within the team as we have secured new funding: a Band 6 Nurse 0.9 wte and a Band 5 Nurse 0.6 wte.
If this is an attractive opportunity for you we would welcome an application from you to work in our Eating Disorder Team in West Suffolk.
EQUAL OPPORTUNITIESApart from its legal duties in relation to equality and diversity, the Trust recognises and actively promotes the benefits of a diverse workforce and is committed to treating all employees with dignity and respect regardless of race, gender, disability, age, sexual orientation, religion or belief. Additionally, people with disabilities that fall under the Two Ticks - Guaranteed Interview Scheme will be offered an interview providing they meet the minimum criteria for the post (outlined in the Person Specification). DISCLOSURE AND BARRING SERVICE CHECK (formerly CRB) FOR POSTS WITH DIRECT SERVICE USER CONTACT - Please be advised that due to recent changes in the DBS Service, organisations no longer receive copies of DBS Disclosures – these are sent directly to candidates only. Therefore, it will be your responsibility, if successful, to ensure that this is taken to the appointing officer as soon as you receive it. Alternatively, if you have subscribed to the update service, we will be able to check your status once we have your authority to do so.
The Trust has now introduced a DBS Update Service which is a contractual requirement. You need to subscribe when you have applied for your DBS clearance and there is a time limit to subscribe of 19 days after receipt of your DBS disclosure. Please ensure that this is completed within the set time scale.
This update service is an annual subscription at a cost of £13 to you. This will enable the Trust to have instant online access to your DBS record, with your consent, and so will remove the need for you to have to apply for this repeat check again.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
