The Child, Family and Young Persons Service are looking to appoint an assistant practitioners to work in the new crisis pathway service within NSFT. This is an innovative service recently set up to provide support to young people under the age of 18 experiencing mental health crisis. The team support young people who attend A&E departments due to mental health crisis and offer short term intensive support to enable them to return home safely. You will be based in Kings Lynn, but may cover the Norfolk area including Great Yarmouth and Waveney, Norwich and Kings Lynn. The team work on a shift pattern incorporating hours between 8am and 12am and you will need to be flexible to work within this time frame.
We have a genuine commitment to training and development and you should expect to access all relevant sector specific qualifications for your role whilst in this post. The Foundation qualification for support staff is the Care Certificate which will form part of your induction into the Trust and must be achieved within the first 12 weeks of employment.

The Trust has now introduced a DBS Update Service which is a contractual requirement. You need to subscribe when you have applied for your DBS clearance and there is a time limit to subscribe of 19 days after receipt of your DBS disclosure. Please ensure that this is completed within the set time scale.
This update service is an annual subscription at a cost of £13 to you. This will enable the Trust to have instant online access to your DBS record, with your consent, and so will remove the need for you to have to apply for this repeat check again.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
