We would welcome you to apply for the Ward Manager post on Lark Ward at Woodlands.

Lark is a Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) which re-opened in September 2018 following the building and induction of a new team. There have been a number of exciting initiatives since re-opening, including participation in a national quality improvement project which is having tremendous results for service users and staff in reducing the use of restrictive interventions through increasing and re-focusing on engagement.

We have a strong focus on collaboration and shaping our services in accordance with what service users tell us they want and need. This makes for an exciting and energised working environment in which staff are encouraged to share and develop their ideas and initiatives to provide high quality care.

The role of the Ward Manager is essential, you will be expected to use skilled approaches to support the ward community to be empowered to make positive changes and support the recovery of service users receiving care.

You will be part of the wider leadership team at Woodlands who work together to strive towards excellence in acute mental health services and will be supported in developing the skills required for the post and for future aspirations. We are welcoming applications from people who are interested in a substantive position, also those who may like to have a secondment opportunity for developmental reasons.
