Woodlands is a mental health inpatient unit situated in Ipswich. The four wards provide assessment and treatment services for acute mental disorders and rehabilitation including depression, bipolar, psychosis, dementia and crisis resolution:

Our primary focus is on collaborative working; placing great emphasis on the assessment/recovery model. Many aspects relating to service user recovery is reflected within the assessment tools the patients and staff use and the philosophy that underpins patient centred care.
You will participate in all aspects of care management, as directed by the Care Programme Approach. They will embrace the principles of recovery and adopt a person cantered approach in all aspects of their work with service users and carers.As a member of staff you will be expected to supervise other members of the team. You will be supported in attending statutory and mandatory training, as well as other courses that have a direct relevance to the position. Your performance and development needs will be continually reviewed through management and clinical supervision and the organisations appraisal process. We also have the leadership forum.
Posts on Lark Ward attract a recruitment premium of £3000. This is a one off payment with half paid on appointment and half paid after the completion of a satisfactory probation period (6 months). The premium is taxable. Please note that should you leave employment, or choose to move to an alternative post within the Trust that does not attract this recruitment premium, you will be required to reimburse all or some it, as follows: 100% of the value of the premium in the first 12 months; 50% of the value of the premium in the period 12 months to 2 years following appointment.

The Trust has now introduced a DBS Update Service which is a contractual requirement. Please ensure that this is completed within the set time scale.
This update service is an annual subscription at a cost of £13 to you. This will enable the Trust to have instant online access to your DBS record, with your consent, and so will remove the need for you to have to apply for this repeat check again.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
