Come and join us in working at Woodlands to help provide the best outcomes for those using inpatient mental health services in East Suffolk.
As a unit we embrace the principles of Recovery, @safewards and @starwards to use them in providing and developing care delivery that a helps make a difference for those experiencing acute mental ill health.
We believe in working together to move towards recovery for that individual, thinking creatively to meet the needs of staff, service users and carers and we are excited to be part of #averydifferentconversation and some of the positive transformation work being done to meet the needs of our local population. We would also be open to considering a different conversation about any additional skills you may bring, for example staff tutors in the Recovery College, and how they could be incorporated as part of a job role as well as rotation between different services and training needs as part of supporting your ongoing development.
We have also been really fortunate to be working with @hospital_rooms who commission world class artists to work with patients and staff to radically transform clinical environments in mental health hospitals. We are planning to link in with local artists to carry on co-producing aesthetic improvements to our wards.
Our approach is about how all aspects of a person’s life link together. Physical health, mental health, social networks and economic circumstances all have an impact on a person’s wellbeing. We are fortunate to be amongst exciting changes to how mental health services are delivered in Suffolk and this is an opportunity to join a fabulous team across Woodlands. Although these posts are on Avocet & Poppy, there are also older peoples, psychiatric intensive care, home treatment and crisis services based at Woodlands and there would be an opportunity work across different areas or have a rotation as part of your ongoing development.
@AvocetNsft & @PoppyWard16 are 21 bedded mixed, adult acute inpatient mental health wards. Our MDT comprises Medical, Nursing, OT, Gym, Complementary therapy, Psychology, Art Therapy working alongside people to support their recovery journey. We are passionate about improvement, co-production and generally delivering the best care possible. We value everyone's opinion and are keen to ask our service users and carers (as well as our staff) 'what matters to you'.
We welcome informal visits from people who may be interested in working alongside us. Although we are primarily looking for experienced RMN's, if you have a nursing qualification, or are coming to the end of your training, and have an interest and experience in supporting people through their mental health recovery journey then we would welcome your application. If dedication, positivity, engagement, co-production and teamwork are part of your core values we would love to hear from you…
