An opportunity has arisen to appoint Consultant Psychiatrists up to 15PA’s specialising in Learning Disability, in the East of Suffolk. The posts are within our East Suffolk Learning Disability Team mainly based in Ipswich, but are linked across our three Integrated Delivery Teams in the locality and work from these community locations.

The successful applicant(s) will be working within a team of enthusiastic multi-disciplinary colleagues including Nursing, Psychology, Social work, Occupational Therapy, Art Psychotherapy, Speech and Language Therapy and Assistant Practitioners. The team is working towards integration with other agencies and stakeholders for people with Learning Disability in Suffolk as part of multi-agency and partnership working.

Our Integrated Delivery Teams are made up of community teams for Adult, Youth, Later Life, and Learning Disability along with other specialist services such as Eating Disorder, Early Intervention and Children’s mental health. They are based in three locations in the East locality, serving the populations of Ipswich, Coastal and Central Suffolk.

Applications will be considered from those who have not yet obtained AC status. However they will be required to have achieved Approved Clinician  status prior to commencement of employment in this post.
