An exciting opportunity has arisen for a clinical psychologist to join our learning disability pathway within our Integrated Delivery Team (IDT), based in East Suffolk. The learning disability pathway works with adults over the age of 18 who have a learning disability and a mental health problem or challenging behaviour.

Whilst working within a specific pathway you will have opportunities for close collaboration with colleagues from other pathways, disciplines and clinical backgrounds within the Integrated Delivery Team. You will also have the opportunity to meet up with other psychologists working within other Learning Disability pathways across Suffolk.

You will be involved in providing assessment / formulation, individual therapy, neuropsychological assessments, and interventions with carers and families. They will work closely with the multidisciplinary team participating in regular team meetings, and will provide consultation and support team formulations across the wide range of professionals within the learning disability pathway.

We would consider newly qualified clinical psychologists, under a preceptorship arrangement, who have relevant experience and are committed to further developing their skills.

We are a collaborative, committed and supportive service with well established arrangements for supervision. We have strong links with the University of East Anglia and regularly provide supervision for clinical placements. Research interests are encouraged and supported, as is CPD.
