An opportunity has arisen to appoint to appoint a Consultant Psychiatrist of 10P.A’s specialising in General Adult Psychiatry in the East of Suffolk. The post is based in our Coastal Integrated Delivery Team and works across two care pathways - our Adult Pathway for people aged 25 upwards and our Youth Pathway, working with young people aged 18-25.
The successful applicant will be working with a team of enthusiastic and committed multi-disciplinary colleagues including Nursing, Psychology, Social work, Occupational Therapy, CBT Therapists, Speech and Assistant Practitioners.
Our Integrated Delivery Teams are made up of community teams for Adult, Youth, Later Life, and Learning Disability along with other specialist services such as Eating Disorder, Early Intervention and Children’s mental health. They are based in three locations in the East locality, serving the populations of Ipswich, Coastal and Central Suffolk.

The Trust has now introduced a DBS Update Service which is a contractual requirement. You need to subscribe when you have applied for your DBS clearance and there is a time limit to subscribe of 19 days after receipt of your DBS disclosure. Please ensure that this is completed within the set time scale.
This update service is an annual subscription at a cost of £13 to you. This will enable the Trust to have instant online access to your DBS record, with your consent, and so will remove the need for you to have to apply for this repeat check again.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
