We are keen to attract an experienced psychologist with a background in Learning Disability services. This is an opportunity to develop a leadership role in shaping and driving our multidisciplinary team providing in patient and Intensive Support Services across Suffolk. The team is currently comprised of psychiatry, nursing and support worker staff and we are in the process of recruiting to new roles in Speech and Language Therapy as well as this post in Psychology.

The Trust has recently invested in formulation training for all disciplines of staff and the expectation is that the post holder will support and promote this as part of holistic and Person Centered practice.

The post holder will be expected to take a key role in facilitating clinical supervision and reflective practice within the team. They will be expected to carry a small case load.

Appropriate clinical supervision will be available for the post holder and opportunities for training and development.

We would like candidates to do a presentation and the title we suggest is “Integrate psychological thinking into the team”

Historically the inpatient Learning Disability Service has been nursing and medically led. If you were successful how would you integrate psychological functioning into the team?
