This vacancy represents an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Psychologist to join a well-established male Low Secure Unit (LSU) in Ipswich which delivers multi-disciplinary, comprehensive services to adults with mental health issues who are under a Section of the Mental Health Act (1983) and who present with risk and/or offending behaviours.
NSFT Secure Services are rated “Good” by the CQC and we are proud of the collaborative, caring and recovery oriented service we provide. The LSU is part of the wider NSFT Secure Services which include a male Low and Medium Secure and a Women’s Secure inpatient Service, Community Forensic Services, Court Liaison and Diversion services and personality disorder services provided at HMP Wayland. The breadth of our services represents an opportunity to be part of a larger psychology team and to share practice and experience within a friendly and supportive team.
The service has links to the UEA Clinical Psychology Training course and offers placements and teaching to Clinical Psychologists in Training.
We are seeking to permanently appoint an 8a Clinical Psychologist to work in the inpatient male LSU unit based at Foxhall House (Ipswich).

The Trust has now introduced a DBS Update Service which is a contractual requirement. You need to subscribe when you have applied for your DBS clearance and there is a time limit to subscribe of 19 days after receipt of your DBS disclosure. Please ensure that this is completed within the set time scale.
This update service is an annual subscription at a cost of £13 to you. This will enable the Trust to have instant online access to your DBS record, with your consent, and so will remove the need for you to have to apply for this repeat check again.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
