Woodlands are excited to be able to offer an experienced complementary therapist the opportunity to work with the acute mental health inpatient services. This is a role which service users consistently identify as having a positive impact upon their recovery and one which contributes to and enhances their mental, physical and emotional wellbeing.
You will be required to work with service users who are receiving care at Woodlands in providing complementary therapy through 1:1 interventions. When asked, our service users have identified that they have previously found massage and aromatherapy to be particularly effective in supporting relaxation as part of their inpatient care.
You will also facilitate some group relaxation activities and support service users and ward communities in thinking about ways in which they can promote wellbeing within their environments.
A relevant qualification and experience as a complementary therapist is essential for this post.

This update service is an annual subscription at a cost of £13 to you. This will enable the Trust to have instant online access to your DBS record, with your consent, and so will remove the need for you to have to apply for this repeat check again.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
