Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust provides child and adult mental health services, alcohol treatment, learning disability, wellbeing and eating disorder services across Norfolk and Suffolk.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time Speciality Doctor, in Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment (CRHT) Team based covering the Great Yarmouth & Waveney area. This friendly and supportive team follows the principles of recovery and social inclusion.

The post holder will have a crucial role to play in developing and enhancing the care provided to people with complex mental health needs. The successful applicant will work alongside skilled and professional multidisciplinary teams.

The post holder should be able to evidence high quality clinical care and have a positive attitude toward working with people with complex mental health needs and their carers. The post holder will also be expected to take a lead role in the continued development of the CRHT Team in conjunction with other clinicians and managers.

The Trust is committed to continuing professional development and the post holder will be encouraged to enhance their professional development and to take part in medical student teaching. The post holder will be supported to do the necessary training and experience needed towards Article 14 and entry into the specialist register.

The areas of Great Yarmouth & Waveney combine the advantages of town life with easy access to the rolling countryside of Norfolk and Suffolk. It includes the seaside town of Southwold in the south and the picturesque and wild coastlines of North Norfolk. There are many pleasant villages and small towns nearby that will provide a suitable home. The coastal strip has some of the sandiest beaches in the country, boasting the least annual rainfall in Great Britain.

There are good rail and road links, making it possible to reach central London, Cambridge and Stansted Airport in less than 2 hours. Norwich is only 30 minutes away and was voted one of the best places to live in the country.
