Do you have a passion for working creatively with children and families? We have fantastic opportunities to join our new service in exciting and challenging roles. The Great Yarmouth and Waveney Youth Service work with young people between the ages of 14 and 26 years who experience varying degrees of mental health difficulties. We work within a multi-disciplinary team which includes Nurses, Social Workers, OTs, Psychologists and Doctors. This role offers practitioners the opportunity to support young people whilst maintaining strong links with families, education and carers.The chosen candidate would be expected to work in a self-directed, dynamic way managing their own case load, developing risk management and care planning skills. The individual will also be involved in links with schools and other third party agencies delivering consultation and education.
There is also a vacancy in the Community Crisis Support Team. This new and innovative service provides rapid and intensive support for children under 18 experiencing a mental health crisis. It is a close-knit multi-disciplinary team who work alongside families, carers and education, covering extended hours up until midnight.
The successful candidate will need to be able to work independently making assessments of risk. The team hold a collaborative caseload which requires the staff to have excellent communication skills. We work hard closely with our colleagues in the Acute Hospital, and the ability to maintain links with other organisations will be essential.
You will have regular clinical and management supervision with a yearly appraisal to discuss your goals and aspirations and working for the NHS you will get a yearly pay review. This update service is an annual subscription at a cost of £13 to you. This will enable the Trust to have instant online access to your DBS record, with your consent, and so will remove the need for you to have to apply for this repeat check again.
